OBISPO - MAXIMALIST 21
OBISPO - MAXIMALIST 21
How does this wallpaper work?
Obispo works as a repeating statement wallpaper. How could I not include a Cuban inspired wallpaper within my ten for ten! Inspired by the imperfect vibe of Havana this wallpaper has to be one of my favourites. That blue will elevate and brighten up any interior space. Pair with bright, chic and cheerful accessories to create an eclectic vibrant space - just like my favourite place, Havana!

The KG Maximalist 21 wallpaper collection introduces ten new patterns, representing 10 for 10 years in business. This August 2021 marks my tenth year as a designer and artist and this collection celebrates this momentous occasion. Building my brand over the past ten years has allowed me to design to my hearts content with the utmost creative freedom. I’ve built a place I call home.
To curate this collection, each pattern represents my primary influences over the past ten years and colour has been a huge part of my story. My inspirations are places I’ve traveled to or currently dreaming of (lots of), my favourite design eras, capturing treasured moments of time, patterns in nature and my surrounding environment.
Maximalist 21 introduces ten new patterns, Capri, Obispo, Sorrento, Graphix, Patisserie, Retro, Lucienne, Bauhaus, Heritage and Check. Bauhaus and Capri adopt my signature non repeat style and can be pasted with no match up of the pattern. The patterns within this range are bold, bright and vivacious and echo the vibrancy of my first ever wallpaper collection, Mix ’n’ Match 11 launched ten years ago. I would call myself a subtle maximalist, I embrace pattern and colour, however I enjoy using it sparingly with white as a base palette within interior spaces. I envision these patterns applied to small sections within a room, to elevate interest and perhaps inspiring a colour scheme for the rest of the interior. Off course, there’s always the option for the super maximalist…go bold or go home as they would say!
